Video tutorial available below, or skip further down to read written instructions and view screenshots on how to register for Clio.

From the Interlibrary Loan page on the library’s website (found under Services – Interlibrary Loan), click the link to "Log into, or register for, Clio here."

You will be taken to the Clio login page. Click the link in the bottom right corner to “Register for a new account.”

The next page will ask you to record your library card # and create a password. You’ll have to enter your password twice to confirm it.

Below this, there are some user agreements to review before clicking the “Save” button found in the bottom left corner of the screen to proceed to the next page of registration.

To complete your Clio account registration, enter your:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email address: if None, write NONE – do not leave blank. If you do not enter a correct email address, you won’t be able to get automated email notifications—the fastest notification available! —for when your ILLs are available to pick up. Staff will still call users or mail postcards to those who do not have email or phone, but these notices are not as fast as email.

  • Branch: Click this box to get a drop-down menu of Lewis and Clark Library’s locations. Select the location you prefer to pick up your ILLs.

  • Phone: Enter a phone number to be reached out if this is your preferred method of communication.

Click the “Save” button to complete your registration. Wahoo, you’re done!

Once you’ve successfully registered, you will see a welcome screen with your name.
