You can borrow a wide range of materials from other libraries, including:

  • Books: Regular books, large print, board books, manga, and braille

  • Movies and TV shows: DVDs and Blu-rays

  • Audiobooks: CDs

  • Music: CDs

What you can’t (or are unlikely to) access through ILL:

  • Items that are owned by our library are not eligible for request through Interlibrary Loan.

  • Books published within the last year can be difficult to borrow as many libraries do not lend titles to other libraries within twelve months of their publishing date as they prioritize access to recent titles for their local users.

  • Historical records and special collections are also difficult to borrow as most libraries consider these non-lendable material available for in-library use only.

  • We do not request types of items that our library does not lend to other libraries in order to be equitable in the services we both provide and use for ILL. Formats we do not lend include: video games, Playaways, technology like hotspots and laptops, newspapers, magazines, microfilm, genealogy records.

  • Digital materials such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, and digital magazines are not available through Interlibrary Loan.

  • We do not request digital or physical articles or book chapters.
