Interlibrary Loan (ILL) lets you borrow materials that Lewis & Clark Library doesn't have from libraries outside of Lewis & Clark within the continental United States. If we don't have what you need, we can request it for you!

Types of materials you can request from ILL:

  • Print books (including large type, board books, and braille) for all ages

  • CDs (audiobooks and music)

  • Movies (DVDs, Blu-rays)

Patrons are not able to request: video games, microfiche or microfilm, video games, VHS, cassette tapes, Playaways, magazines, articles or book chapters from other libraries. We also do not borrow digital items for patrons. Check out our Digital Library for what you can access now with your Lewis & Clark Library card.

Please note that at this time, our ILL service is only available to Lewis & Clark County residents, or those who own property in the county. Not all Lewis & Clark Library cardholders can access this service.
